Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you'll understand:
- The Different Types of Competitions Available
- How to Create & Customize Your Competitions
and - How the Overtake & Winners Screens work
We estimate this course will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete.
And don't forget! There will be a knowledge check towards the end of the course - so make sure you're paying attention along the way. 😉
There are SO MANY Competition Types and Styles to choose from, with many more coming soon! We want to ensure you can display your competition exactly how you want to.
So which option is best for you? Please take a look at our walkthrough below for a snapshot of each Competition type.
24 STEPS
1. Spinify has a lot of competition types, lets take a closer look at how you can use them
2. Value based competitions are an excellent option for making the most of what you're doing. For example, you may be tracking the values of the deals being won or the sum of points on a lead!
3. Simply put, Count based competitions focus on numerical scores. For example, this may be the number of calls made, the most leads qualified or the most houses sold.
4. Consistency is key! Whether you're focused on wrap-up times, NPS or deal sizes, Competitions based on Averages will keep the team focused on consistency.
5. Who doesn't love a bit of healthy competition?!
Chase the Leader competitions encourage everyone to try and catch the person in first place and win the competition!
6. Focused on getting the lowest scores possible? Perhaps you're tracking who has the least number of open tickets? Well, Golf Score is best for you! Just like in real golf, whoever has the lowest score at the end of the competition wins!
7. Similar to Golf Score competitions - in Golf Score Zeros are last, whoever has the lowest score wins the competition. Except here, players need some score to appear in top positions. For example, you may be tracking who has the shortest wrap up times
8. Seems counter-intuitive right? But, really - no one likes rejection! Most No's competitions drive an increase in sales and the likelihood of your reps getting that YES you're all craving!
9. Want to kick your team into gear as soon as it's go-time? Then Morning Rush is the competition type for you! These competitions run for just an hour at the start of every day. They'll drive motivation from right out the gate!
10. Looking to bring in a fun, competitive spirit between two of your reps? Well then - cue the ref and ring the bell because we have a Head to Head Battle on our hands!
11. Ready the horses and prepare your speech Braveheart! You're about to enter battle! East Vs West pit's two regions against one another. Try to outdo the competing region by working with your colleagues and coming out on top!
12. Shoot the Moon is excellent for those big wins! You can filter this competition to only include metrics of value, such as VIP customers or high value activities.
13. We're rolling out the red carpet for this one! This space is VIP only! Epic Revenue Goal competitions are for when you want to track deals of the highest value!
14. Quota Crusher is here to obliterate those targets! Whoever improves most on their target takes home the win. After all, we're not here to hit targets, we're here to crush them!
15. We all get fomo from time to time. But why not use it to your advantage? fomo competitions focus only on the top performing reps, so everyone will be determined to see themselves featured!
16. Boss Level focuses on your larger goals! It's time for the team to show what they're really made of!
17. Noticed there are particular activities your reps are putting off? Maybe they're taking too long to close their deals? Well it's time to climb over those walls and jump over those hurdles because the Obstacle Crushing competition is here!
18. It's nearly closing time, time to settled down and take things a little slower, right?
WRONG!!
EOD Blitz will motivate your reps to push for those last targets at the end of each day.
19. Go on the hunt for those apex goals, clients or targets with Shark Week competitions.
20. If Customer Satisfaction is the forefront of your focus, then Word of Mouth competitions are perfect for you!
21. Talk Time competitions don't care how many calls were made! They look at the amount of time that was spent with each customer.
22. Keep the adrenaline pumping to avoid being last place by using an Elimination competition! The person in last place could be eliminated at any time until there's only one person left! Only the last one standing takes home the gold!
23. And that's it!
24. And that's it!

Personal Metrics in Spinify are like competitions’ cooler, more introspective cousin. 💁♀️
Instead of battling it out on the leaderboard, Personal Metrics let players zero in on their own goals—it’s all about personal wins, private victories, and focused growth.
Imagine a personal scoreboard where players or teams work toward their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) without the pressure of public rankings (unless you want it!). It’s goal-setting with purpose—and a healthy splash of gamified fun.
Um, still wondering why Personal Metrics totally rock?
Spinify Personal Metrics aren’t just another goal-setting tool—they’re your secret weapon for:
🎮 Game-ifying growth with custom challenges that matter
🧠 Nurturing a growth mindset through personal progress tracking
🎯 Laser-focusing your team on what really moves the needle
🎉 Celebrating wins—loudly or quietly, the choice is yours!
Whether you're secretly crushing goals or hyping up your team with some public leaderboard energy, Personal Metrics give every player the power to shine their way.
As an admin, you’ve got the power to build Metrics around the goals that matter most—think sales calls, deals closed, client follow-ups, or any other performance benchmark your team is chasing.
